Recentitis

Game by game blows of the 2006 post season are probably unnecessary in the long run. Also, the entire 2006 playoff run is longer than the description of several decades of baseball. Splitting off the St. Louis Cardinals history page

I propose converting the History of the St. Louis Cardinals page to a disambiguation page and dividing the text into five articles separate articles or somewhere along those lines corresponding to distinct eras in Cardinals history. The reason for this proposal is both the main articles St. Louis Cardinals (SLC) and History of the St. Louis Cardinals (HSLC) have become too long. Further, I propose splitting the History section of the SLC main page into five corresponding sections, inserting links directly to the corresponding historical era pages. I have included this same proposal on Talk:St. Louis Cardinals. Obviously, the 1990-present page is one of the five eras proposed. I hope these changes are not upsetting; I would like to have anyone else's input. Does this have any support?

Further: I have shortened the corresponding section on History topic of the main SLC page. I would like to leave the HSLC page without these corresponding changes for the time being to gather others' input.
